Logan Arts – connecting creative Logan

“Brother’s always have each other’s backs.”
Six young men reunite for the first time since High School to study one final book.
Basketball and big decisions. White whales and fried chicken. Impossible Dreams and all fifty shades of grey. Transported through the pages of their past they debate literature, lovers, relationships, their flaws and faults, and, unintentionally… their future.
Directed by Claire Christian & Ari Palani, Brothers Book Club is an unapologetic, hilarious, and beat-dropping new play that traverses theatre, hip hop, poetry and the collective’s imaginings of classic literary texts over the course of a single night. Fuelled by the collective’s own lives, experiences, and politics, this is hilarious, unflinchingly honest, and heart-warming theatre.
Brothers Book Club was developed with support from La Boite Theatre, Playlab Theatre, The Sunnybank Performing Arts and Cultural Centre, and Arts Queensland.
