Inspiring events and activities

Logan Art Gallery offers an extensive range of free inspirational events and activities that complement exhibitions on display. Logan Art Gallery’s innovative programming offers visitors the opportunity to engage with artworks and develop their own skills and concepts in a variety of ways. The gallery has a purpose built and well-equipped workshop space for practical artmaking sessions.

Events and activities include:

  • guided tours
  • artists’ and curators’ talks
  • exhibition openings
  • artist-led and educational practical workshops
  • special events.

All events and activities are free. People of all ages can become involved and are welcome.

 

Guided Tours

Logan Art Gallery arts educators and/or exhibiting artists can provide talks and tours of current exhibitions for schools and community groups. Bookings are essential. (See Group bookings below)

Artist-led talks and panel discussions

To complement Logan Art Gallery’s exhibition program and encourage discussion and debate, the gallery offers exhibition talks and panel discussions. Find out about the next talks and discussions on the What’s On page. Bookings are essential.

Public workshops

Find out more about exhibitions on display, learn artists’ techniques and make new friends by taking a free practical art workshop at the gallery. Workshops are led by experienced education staff and/or exhibiting artists, are free of charge and all materials are provided. Find out more about public workshops on the What’s on page. Spaces are limited and bookings are essential.

Practical workshops for groups

We offer free practical art workshops to groups.  Workshops are led by experienced educational staff and/or exhibiting artists, are free of charge and all materials are provided. Group bookings can be flexible to suit the needs of the group. Contact the Logan Art Gallery to make your group booking.

Family fun days, Arts in the open and cultural days

Join us for our popular family fun days, ‘Arts in the open’ or cultural days. These are themed events that all the family can enjoy. Enjoy live entertainment, performers, art demonstrations, exhibition tours, artists’ talks, market stalls, bouncy castles, face painting or petting zoos etc.  Refreshments will be for sale. Young Peoples Gallery

Logan Art Gallery has a dedicated Young Peoples Gallery that showcases exhibitions for or by young people. This space often has fun, interactive activities for younger visitors.

Group bookings

If you’re bringing a large group to the gallery, please call and inform us of your visit. Our staff can provide free tours to interested groups if you book at least a week before your visit. Your group can also book practical activities to further enhance the visit.

Group bookings from schools, community or social groups are most welcome.

We welcome any age or level of ability.

Session times and length of sessions can be tailored to suit your needs.

We can arrange group after-school activities.

School holiday workshops are part of our regular programming.

Practical workshop sessions cover a variety of themes.

All workshops are free, but bookings are essential.
