Edgy and Hedgy mentorship with Bowerbird Collective

This project centres young voices through a creative mentorship with Bowerbird Collective, led by emerging songwriters and performers Edgy and Hedgy. The duo will compose the original music and libretto and perform live alongside up to eight Logan-based musicians, all actively involved in the creative and recording process.

The performance will feature during the ‘Up Late’ event within the Where do I belong? exhibition at Logan Art Gallery on 16 July 2026.

Edgy and Hedgy, sibling duo Jasmine (19) and Taylor (16) Wheatley, sit within the target demographic, bringing authentic peer perspectives shaped by contemporary music, online culture, and social trends today.

Mentorship support from Anthony Albrecht and Simone Slattery of Bowerbird Collective includes three one-hour Zoom sessions guiding emerging artists through development process. This approach builds skills, confidence, and creative momentum, empowering young musicians in Logan to collaborate, be heard, and see themselves reflected in a major public cultural event.
