Saralanga 2025 marks the 33rd anniversary of Queensland’s premier Sri Lankan cultural extravaganza, presented by the Sinhala Association of Queensland (SAQ). This spectacular showcase celebrates the rich tapestry of Sri Lankan performing arts while bringing together generations of the local community and welcoming all Australians to experience the vibrant culture of the Pearl of the Indian Ocean.
What is Saralanga?
Saralanga (meaning “Simple Acts of Performance” in Sinhala) is more than just a performance—it’s a cultural bridge connecting Sri Lankan heritage with contemporary Australian life. This annual celebration has become a cornerstone event for Brisbane’s multicultural calendar, featuring traditional and modern interpretations of Sri Lankan dance, music, drama, and storytelling.
Experience an authentic slice of Sri Lankan culture without leaving Brisbane. Saralanga 2025 promises an evening of visual splendour, musical excellence, and cultural discovery that will leave audiences with a deeper appreciation for Sri Lankan heritage and the vibrant multicultural community that calls Queensland home.
This is not just a performance—it’s a cultural celebration 33 years in the making, showcasing the best of Sri Lankan artistic traditions adapted for contemporary Australian audiences.
