Artist led | Journeys to memories and belonging

Join Aboriginal artist and storyteller Aunty Shirley Collins (Yumala), a proud Pitta Pitta / Kalkadoon woman, for a hands‑on creative workshop that’s all about connection, memory, and place.
Shirley invites participants to dive into an expressive painting experience that explores what “special places” mean in our own lives. Through guided storytelling and artmaking, you’ll reflect on the landscapes, moments, and journeys that shape who you are — while gaining insight into the deep cultural, spiritual, and ancestral ties Aboriginal people hold with Country.
This is a chance to create a personal artwork that celebrates your own story, your own path, and the places that stay with you.
Bring along any images or mementos that inspire you — your journeys, your memories, your special places.
