About Logan Arts
Logan Arts – connecting creative Logan

In Aboriginal culture, the role of Grandmother holds a reverent place in family groups. Through a series of paintings, prints, textiles, objects, artefacts, and jewellery, artists Shirley Yumala Collins and Susan Peters Nampitjin —grandmothers themselves— explore the custodianship, cultural knowledge, and storytelling relevance of their generation.
You are warmly invited to join us to create small artworks (10 cm x 10cm canvas) that will form a collaborative Rainbow Serpent artwork. The artwork will form part of the upcoming exhibition Grandmothers, displayed at Logan Art Gallery 14 November 2025 to 17 January 2026.
No need to be an artist, just bring yourself, your culture and a willingness to share and care.
Please only book in for one of the two workshops.
