About Logan Arts
Logan Arts – connecting creative Logan
Family Workshop| Feather creation led by artist Mary Elizabeth Barron
Join artist Mary Barron at the Living museum of Logan to create feathers out of recycled plastic bags. The feathers crafted in this workshop will then go on display at Logan Art Gallery as part of the Where do I belong? exhibition opening on Saturday, 20 June 2026.
Celebrating connection, creativity and conservation
From January to March 2026, Logan artist Mary Elizabeth Barron will run free workshops at Logan Libraries, Logan Art Gallery and the Living Museum of Logan to craft reused soft plastics into beautiful individual feathers. The feathers crafted in these workshops will then be displayed at Logan Art Gallery June – August 2026 as part of the Where do I belong? exhibition. This series of workshops is part of Mary Elizabeth Barron’s Residency for the Where do I belong? exhibition and public programs and is supported by the Regional Arts Development Fund (RADF).
RADF is a partnership between the Queensland Government and Logan City Council to support local arts and culture in regional Queensland.
The Where do I belong? exhibition opens at Logan Art Gallery on Saturday, 20 June 2026. It showcases contemporary art that highlights the beauty and fragility of our native birds, inspiring hope and action for a sustainable future.
