KRANK | Kerbside Creatures: Recycled assemblage sculpture art

Join artist Anthony Vanghoua Vue at Living Museum of Logan to transform everyday items into imaginative assemblage sculptures! For ages 5-17

In this hands-on workshop, participants will transform every day and discarded objects into imaginative assemblage sculptures. Using ornamentation, pattern, repetition and lots of hands-on DIY making, participants will build, decorate and reinvent ordinary objects—turning the overlooked and unwanted into something playful, strange and extraordinary.

Inspired by Kerbside Nation, the workshop encourages kids to think differently about the objects around them and discover the creative possibilities in things we might normally throw away.

What to bring: Kids are encouraged to bring along an everyday object they are happy to permanently transform into an artwork. This might be an old toy, piece of technology, sports equipment, household item or another unwanted object. Choose something that can be safely carried and that you don’t mind being altered, glued or decorated.

Please note: Responsible carer 16 years or older to remain with children 8 years and younger for the duration of the workshop.
