About Logan Arts
Logan Arts – connecting creative Logan
6am – 9pm Wednesday 27 May – Monday 31 August on the LEC forecourt
The Birds of Australia STORYBOX is a touring digital installation presented by the Australian Museum.
The digital 3D storytelling cube—installed on the LEC Forecourt—invites communities to connect with stories, animations, illustrations and interactives that reflect on the wonder and fragility of Australia’s unique bird life.
- Trace the journey of English ornithologist John Gould and his wife Elizabeth, as they travelled across New South Wales in the 1800s on one of the most significant birding expeditions in history.
- Logan creative and Artist in Residence Louise Wheatley created the motion picture Feathered friends. During her residency, artist Louise ventured into Logan’s wetlands, parks, and urban landscapes to capture the vibrant sights and sounds of our region’s birdlife. Using these evocative video and audio recordings, she created a captivating sound and visual content that forges an inspiring connection between visitors and the birds that bring our city to life. Audiences are invited to experience Logan from a fresh, immersive and poetic perspective.
