Logan Arts – connecting creative Logan
Life after dark and what does it mean in the City of Logan?
Rebecca McIntosh, also known as Bec Mac, is a nationally recognised Creative Director, Campaign Specialist, and Arts Journalist renowned for her ability to generate impactful dialogues and experiences that unite communities in meaningful ways. With over a decade of experience focusing on connecting people, places, culture, architecture, innovation, and technology, Rebecca has established herself as a pioneering figure in creative placemaking. Join Bec in this public forum where she will discuss her recent Churchill Fellowship examining the nighttime economy governance of cities and its impact on safety and accessibility for women.
Rebecca will be introducing Flying Fox Woman, her groundbreaking participatory art project transforming women’s safety experiences into powerful artistic actions. Flying Fox Woman is about to take place throughout the City of Logan culminating in an exhibition at Logan Art Gallery in December 2026. Join Rebecca to discover how you can contribute to this ambitious city-wide artwork — an experience designed for anyone who wants to be part of a creative, collective reimagining of women’s safety.
This project is supported by the Regional Arts Development Fund (RADF). RADF is a partnership between the Queensland Government and Logan City Council to support arts and culture in regional Queensland.
