Kerbside Nation exhibition opening

Mayor Jon Raven and Councillors of the City of Logan invite you to the official opening of the Living Museum of Logan’s new exhibition Kerbside Nation.

Kerbside Nation explores the everyday rituals of suburbia through Logan’s kerbside clean-ups and the moments when households decide what to keep inside the home and what to release to the kerb. The exhibition centres on the stories of 4 Logan residents and the objects they have chosen to keep. Through treasured belongings, the exhibition explores the personal meanings attached to material things and the ways objects become intertwined with identity, memory, migration, family histories and a sense of home.

This exhibition is co-curated with local artist Vanghoua Anthony Vue.
